    Rick says- this is an article I missed... pointing to graphene being able to absorb all kinds of energy. That might explain why graphene-paint absorbs light and looks blacker than black... used as early as 1969 in 2001:a space odyssey on the black obelisk-- though I have to fact check that... since graphene only invented in 2004 my reading indicates so far. Here's Delgado talking about graphene absorbing sound!
