EMERGENCY CORRECTIVE measures I'm taking right now... include the LEGAL ASSISTANCE with DPoA/heath LIVING WILL orders by Dorothy, as soon as this morning in a few hours... regarding forcing her to take a 911 emergency delivery to hospital or not... ChatGPT is turning out to be a friend and useful in advising me what to do and how to priortize.

Update: I've made contact with an Intake Nurse for a local Hospice company who can negotiate with Dorothy to get her to agree to be evaluated for access to 'in-home hospice' medical treatment for her skin pressure sore. Even today as I try to tell Dorothy she won't get better without a professional coming in to see her, she's still saying no and refusing my efforts. I over rode her for the first time and will have a woman talk to her in the next 2 to 24 hours from Elevate Hospice and Pallative Care unit which is oriented toward emergencies for pain control. Dorothy isn't in pain except when I try to move her knees but still it's bad.
I made more calls to try to get a mobile doctor to visit to evaluate her but have not yet had a call back from either Dr. Chinesky (the very first actual name I ever got, rather than a clinic or company) from Welcom Home Housecalls, nor Kim, the Sales Liason from CenterWell Home Health, nor We Care Mobile Health, Amanda, I got a return call from MDNOW but they cannot visit for 2 weeks and can't tell me the price, so that I know what the 20% copay will be-- she said it depends on the insurance company and only Medicare, in our case would know the price which I found bizarre.... and MH7 doesn't do private homes.
I asked the girl at MH7 who a 'mobile primary care costor who visits homes" might be and she game me 3 contacts, DoctorCareAZ.com, Wings of Hope and Geriatric Solutions. Then I got a call back from DoctorCareAZ.com from a message I left yesterday, from Donna who said she was there after office hours today but got me started on my current path today where I'm waiting for the call from Elevate in 2 to 24 hours. Donna at DoctorCareAZ.comwas phenomenal with starting by saying they know the elderly in Airzona and have been doing this for 20 years. She asked for details on Dorothy's maladies and photos, firs time anyone asked me for photos, which I emailed, assured me a woman nurse can negotiate her way into Dorothy's obstinate refusals to see anyone which I'm now realizing that I've been held hostage by. Donna of DoctorCareAZ.com will be emailing me Docusign docs over the weekend for me to fill out so we can get a Mobile Primary Care Doctor to evaluate Dorothy, and possibly treat her at home for the maladies that have accelerated lately that have gotten away from me, shocking even me.
In the meantime, Donna at DoctorCareAZ.com advised me to take care of the worst elements of Dorothy's situation asap by having the Elevate Hospice and Pallitiave Care division for pain control come in and to call them first which I did and for which I am now sitting here while watching over Dorothy and maintaining her as I have been doing. I've just finished a late lunch of beef broth and toast at 4:00 pm, not daring to eat anything heavier for fear of not keeping things down. If it does take 24 hour for the Elevate Hospice Emergency and Pallative Care unit to call back, as Micheall @ Elevate said, Dorothy can handle that as we've been doing day to day since Dec. 25 with my help, although I now see that Dorothy was worsening as far back as November, and of course gradually even further back. It was the sudden change on Dec. 25 that has led to this latest crisis that has focused my attention 100% on her situation to the exclusion of all else, round the clock.
I'm learning as I go at this point trying to keep all the phone numbers, events and Dorothy's condition monitered, as well as maintaining my own self. I'll be sure I set something up for my own self so I never become this way. This is not ageing gracefully. It's ageing DISgracefully. Absolutely terrible way to age-- slowly, impercepibly-- then quicker and suddenly, with literal rotting away, brain reception fading, dropping interests, reduced to one, two or three word sentences. I regularly replay our Rick and Dorothy Show concerts and it's quite a stunning juxtaposition to watch and hear us entertain just seven years ago to great applause.

I had Annalee from "ELEVATE" visit Dorothy last night and Dorothy was not confrontational like I thought she would be, since Annalee knew how to approach her. I now have a medical team who will visit daily over coming days to help me help her, long story short since I just lost my original post by hitting a wrong key. Will fill in more soon.
