It's my first read of anything at Brownstone or you and I'll look for more. It's well written- using full paragraphs, a writing style that many web based writers have lost, preferring to use one sentence as a paragraph, making their piece unreadable for the work the eyeballs have to do. I used to be a typesetter.

Aside from that, the question of what freedom is takes me back to Philosophy and Political Science classes in the late 1970's. So much of our academic inheritance was simply trashed over the past few years as media talking heads took over and gave us shallow reviews of the stunning take-down of our asssumed-to-be well-understood notions of freedom. Your article was a relief to read, giving me hope at least for tonight, that sanity is still out there somewhere. Your summary of scarf-lady Birx' stunning 500 page confession proves her to be a sociopathic lunatic. I was horrified that Trump and his staff were fooled by her at the time her presentations were happening. I had been wondering where she disappeard to.
